The Rema medical mobile recliner comes with dual fold down patient transfer arms. The dual lateral transfer arms fold down by releasing a knob, and the arms snap back into position easily. The generous 24"Wide can support up to a 650 lb. occupant, and it measures 21.5"H so that it elevates the occupant to a more accessible height.
The Rema recliner has an all steel frame starting with casters bolted to the steel base frame, up through the all steel heavy gauge reclining mechanism, through tubular steel seat frame with steel springs, up through a heavy gauge steel pin attachment to the removable back. All weight is carried by the steel structures with no load placement on interior wood parts. upholstered in easy-to-clean vinyl. The back has a padded push bar for ease of movement, and is easily removable for staff to easily and thoroughly clean recliner between uses. The back moves into infinite reclining positions, allowing a comfortable reclined position, so the occupant can adjust back positions to their exact preference by releasing a locking lever and using body movement to adjust. The back locks into selected recline position when lever is released. The footrest can be raised and lowered with a strong steel side handle. The footrest moves independent of back position, and the mechanism has load protection eliminating damage from overload abuse. It also features mid-ottoman calf support for full leg comfort. The seat frame pivot is synchronized to back frame movement, which allows an occupant’s weight to assist when elevating the back to an upright position. The back and footrest movement is smooth and spring assisted for occupants who are weak or ill, and the seat frame pivot is synchronized to the back frame movement, which allows an occupant's weight to assist when elevating the back to an upright position. All steel seat frame is constructed of 6 sinuous steel springs for a bottomless, comfortable ride for large occupants. Arced sinuous steel springs push up from underneath seat foam and upholstery to maintain a wrinkle free seat deck after long term use. The seat cushion is 6" thick high resiliency foam. A LiquidCell layer under upholstery reduces shear and friction of skin cells, and adds to long term comfort. The Sta-Kleen polyurethane vinyl upholstery is bleach cleanable, and enables erasure of permanent marker, ball point pen and other stains with isopropyl alcohol. The casters are three 4" diameter swivel locking casters and one fixed 4” locking caster with soft treads. The singular fixed caster aids in steering and always faces forward for caregiver to fix the recliner in place with a toe tap lock. All interior plywood is California carb compliant/Phase II.
