NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. OFFER VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW.
Please read these rules before entering the Small Business Contest (the “Contest”). By submitting an entry, you agree to be bound by these Official Rules and represent that you satisfy all Contest eligibility requirements.
SPONSOR. The Contest is sponsored by National Business Furniture, LLC, 770 S 70th West Allis, WI 53214 (“Sponsor”). The Contest is not sponsored by Meta Platforms, Inc., or Twitter, Inc. All questions related to the Contest should be directed to Sponsor.
CONTEST PERIOD. Contest will be conducted in two separate periods: the “Entry Period” and the “Voting Period.” The Entry Period begins at __8__ a.m. Central Time (“CT”) on _11/25/23, and ends at _____10_p.m. CT on __12/2/23__. The Voting Period will take place beginning with the announcement of the Finalists on or about ____12/6/23, and ending at ___10__p.m. CT on __12/12/23_. The Contest computer, as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion, is the official time keeping device for the Contest.
ELIGIBILITY. The Contest is open individuals who are (a) legal residents of the 50 United States or the District of Columbia, (b) at least 18 years of age at the time of entry; and (c) __Business Owner. Employees and other representatives of Sponsor, and its affiliates (and the immediate family members thereof of each) are not eligible to enter.
AGREEMENT TO THE OFFICIAL RULES: By participating in the Contest, all entrants fully and unconditionally agree to and accept these Official Rules and the Sponsor’s decisions which are final and binding in all matters related to the Contest. Winning a prize (described below) is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
HOW TO ENTER. To enter, complete the entry form at __https://www.nationalbusinessfurniture.com/bold365giveaway ___. To be eligible, you must also complete all questions on the form, including all required essay and photograph requirements (“Entry”). If any individuals other than entrant appear in the Entry, entrant must have the permission of the individuals (or their parent's or legal guardian's permission if individuals are minors) to use the audio and visuals of everyone who is featured in the Entry in any and all media without compensation. Proof of such permission may be required at Sponsor's discretion. Limit one (1) entry per person.
Only entries submitted via the method above are eligible. Entries submitted via any other method, will NOT be accepted. Entries must be received no later than the close of the Entry Period. Duplicative entries will be disqualified. Entries generated by script, macro or other automated means are void, as are entries that are illegible, garbled, incomplete or that contain errors.
ENTRY REQUIREMENTS. Entries (i) must be the original and sole creation of the submitting entrant, and all right, title and interest including but not limited to the copyright in any entry, must be owned solely by the submitting entrant; (ii) may not have been submitted in any other competition, (iii) may not have been published; (iv) may not infringe upon any third party's rights, including but not limited to, copyright, patent or trademark, or rights of privacy or publicity, or contain material that is or may be considered defamatory, slanderous or libelous, or portray or depict any person, product or entity in a false light; (v) may not violate any law, rule or regulation; (vi) may not contain any virus, bugs, or other deleterious material; (vii) may not contain inappropriate content, for example but not limited to, profanity, defamatory statements, words or symbols widely considered offensive to individuals of any certain race, ethnicity, religious, sexual orientation or socioeconomic groups, threats to any person, place, business, or group; and must comply with the relevant social media platform guidelines. Each entrant warrants and represents that his/her entry complies with all of those conditions. Any non-complying entry will subject the entrant to disqualification in Sponsor’s sole discretion. By submitting an entry, entrant grants Sponsor a worldwide, royalty free license in any and all media, now known or hereafter created, to copy, prepare derivative works, and distribute the entrant’s entry materials.
ODDS. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period. As this is a contest of skill and creativity, winning is dependent upon the quality of entries received and the skill of the individual entrants.
SELECTION OF WINNER. A qualified panel of judges will judge eligible entries on the basis of the following criteria:

· Impactful Story
· NBF ability to repost and utilize content
Each entry will then be awarded a score from 0 (poor) to 100 (perfect) in each category. Sponsor will weight and tally all of the scores for each entry and then rank them according to cumulative score. The entries with top __5__ cumulative scores will be deemed potential Finalists. In the event of a tie, the Finalist will be the entry among the tied entries with the higher score in the criterion of Originality. Being named a Finalist is subject to validation and verification of eligibility and compliance with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules.
The Finalist’s entries will be posted at _ https://www.nationalbusinessfurniture.com/minority-owned-giveaway-voting for public voting during the Voting Period. During this round, the public may vote on their favorite Entry. The Finalists with the highest number of valid votes at the end of the Voting Period will declared the potential Grand Prize, First Prize, and Second Prize Winners, respectively. In the event of a tied score, the Finalists involved in a tie will be reviewed by an additional judge appointed by Sponsor who will serve as a tiebreaker and who will evaluate the entries according to the aforementioned judging criteria.
ONLINE VOTING RULES. Any individual with an email account will be able to vote during the Voting Period. Limit one (1) vote per individual email address per day. All online voting will be under the supervision of Sponsor whose decisions are final in all matters relating to this Contest. Any use of agencies, robotic, repetitive, automatic, programmed or similar voting methods or agents will void all votes by that person. Offers to pay for votes or offers for like-kind exchanges are not permitted. Use of personal social media accounts blogs and websites to direct participants to voting sites is permissible.
WINNER NOTIFICATION: Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding on all matters relating to this Contest. Potential winners will be notified using the contact information listed in the Entry. If the prize notification is returned as undeliverable, Sponsor is unable to contact the potential winner or the potential winner is not in compliance with these Official Rules, prize will be forfeited, and an alternate winner may be selected.
· PRIZES. The Prizes: 1st place: $3,000 Cash Prize (Allowance)
· 2nd place: $1,000 Cash Prize (Allowance) + ONE NBF Signature Series Parker Mid-back Executive Chair
· 3rd place: TWO NBF Signature Series Parker Mid-back Executive Chairs
Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”) of all prizes is $5,000____
Any federal, state or local tax obligation or other expense that the winner may be liable for is the sole responsibility of the winner. An IRS form 1099 will be issued in the name of the Grand Prize winner for the actual value of the prize received. The Grand Prize winner is responsible for all federal, state, and local income taxes and any other taxes associated with the Grand Prize. Sponsor will comply with all applicable tax reporting requirements.
Prizes are nontransferable and no substitution or cash equivalent is allowed, except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize or prizes of the same approximate retail value for a prize or any portion thereof. Unclaimed prizes will not be awarded.
LIMITATIONS ON PRIZES. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize (or portions thereof) of equal or greater value if prize (or portions thereof) cannot be awarded as described. Sponsor will determine all elements of prizes in its sole discretion. Prizes may not be assigned, transferred, changed or redeemed for cash, except at the sole discretion of Sponsor.
PRIZES ARE AWARDED “AS IS” WITH NO WARRANTY OR GUARANTEE EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. SPONSOR DISCLAIMS ALL AND ANY LIABILITY FOR THE ACTUAL PROVISION, QUALITY OR NATURE OF ANY THIRD-PARTY PRODUCT OR SERVICE ACCEPTED BY THE WINNER.
The awarding of any prize is contingent upon full compliance with these Official Rules. Entrants agree to be bound by Official Rules. Entrants understand that Sponsor is not liable for injuries, losses or damages of any kind arising from participation in this Contest and acceptance, possession and use of prize. Sponsor is not responsible for any typographical or other error in the printing of the offer, administration of the contest or in the announcement of the prizes. Decisions of Sponsor are final and binding in all respects.
PRIVACY. Information collected from online entrants is subject to Sponsor’s privacy policy at https://www.nationalbusinessfurniture.com/customer-services/privacy-and-security.
DISPUTE RESOLUTION. Except where prohibited, by participating Contest entrants agree that: All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant(s) and Sponsor and its agents shall be governed by and construed exclusively in accordance with the laws of the State of Wisconsin without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction. Entrant agrees that any action at law or in equity arising out of or relating to this Contest, or awarding of the prizes, shall be filed only in the state or federal courts located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and entrant hereby consents and submits to the personal jurisdiction of such courts for the purposes of litigating any such action. Except where prohibited, by participating in this Contest, each entrant agrees that: (a) any and all disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or awarding of the prizes, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; and (b) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with participating in this Contest but in no event attorneys' fees; and (c) under no circumstances will any entrant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. Some jurisdictions do not allow the limitations or exclusion of liability for incidental or consequential damages, so the above may not apply to you.
OTHER. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any non-conforming entries. Sponsor further reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate or modify this Contest if not capable of completion as planned, including infection by computer virus, technical corruption, non-authorized human intervention or force majeure. In the event of cancellation, Sponsor reserves the right to select winners from among all eligible entries received prior to date of cancellation. The use of automated entry systems or any other conduct that impedes the integrity of the contest is prohibited. In the event of a dispute regarding online entry, entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of an established e-mail account associated with the entry. “Authorized account holder” is defined as the natural person who is assigned to an email address by an Internet Access provider, online service provider, or other organization (e.g., business, educational institution, etc.) that is responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Sponsor assumes no responsibility for entries it is unable to process due to network, hardware or other technical failures, or any other reason, or incomplete, damaged, misdirected, illegible, stolen or lost entries. Sponsor reserves the right, in its sole discretion to disqualify any person tampering with the entry process, the operation of the web site or otherwise, in violation of the rules. CAUTION: Any attempt by an entrant or any other individual to deliberately damage any web site or undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such individual to the fullest extent permitted by law.
GENERAL RELEASE. By entering the Contest and/or accepting any Prize, each entrant releases the Sponsor, Meta Platforms, Inc., Twitter, Inc., and their respective affiliates and related companies and each of their respective officers, directors, employees, agents, and other representatives from any liability whatsoever for any claims, costs, injuries, losses, or damages of any kind arising out of or in connection with the Contest, with the acceptance, possession or use of any Prize (including without limitation, claims, costs, injuries or losses related to personal injuries, death, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light) subject to all federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
GENERAL. Except where prohibited by law: (i) entry constitutes permission and a license to use entrant’s submission on Sponsor’s web sites including Sponsor’s social media pages; (ii) entry constitutes permission to use Winners’ names, hometowns, voices, likenesses, photographs and any statements regarding this Contest for editorial, public relations, promotional and advertising purposes on behalf of Sponsor without compensation; and (iii) potential Winners may be required to complete and return an Affidavit of Eligibility/Ownership/Liability Release, and Copyright Assignment within ten (10) days of notification or the entry with the next highest score may become an alternate winner.
WINNER LIST. For a list of winners’ names, available after the close of the Voting Period, send a separate, self-addressed, stamped envelope to National Business Furniture, LLC, Attention: _Small Business___ Contest Winner List, 770 S 70th West Allis, WI 53214. Requests must be received no later than ___2/1/24____.
