M3, a business insurance agency, needed to increase capacity: add thirteen cubicles and thee private offices at their Waukesha, Wisconsin location. A local architect worked on the floor plan and construction, and NBF's Dan Wilkens helped M3 select furniture for the installation.
The project involved replacing existing cubicles and adding more to an adjacent area. Dan selected furniture for the private offices to complement existing offices and a conference room he had furnished for M3 previously.
In addition to expansion, M3 wanted to incorporate the open style already in place at their other four office locations.
The M3 conference room is clean, contemporary and inviting, a showcase for client meetings.
M3 has found that lower cubicle walls and back-to-back groupings foster a team environment, so cubicle panels that were not as tall as those previously in place.
While they still have the privacy afforded by partitions around their individual work areas, employees can interact with each other more readily; they also enjoy more natural light filtering in.
Dan chose sustainably-made furniture products, another plus for M3. We were not aware this was an option when it came to the workstation furniture, but were delighted when Dan made us aware. It will now be a consideration when ordering in the future, said Jill Segerson, M3 Facilities Supervisor.
