NBF CASE STUDY — MILGARD WINDOWS:

Milgard Windows began as a small glass shop in Tacoma, Washington more than 40 years
ago. Their headquarters in Tacoma is one of 13 locations nationwide. The company's
largest location is their regional office and manufacturing facility in Temecula,
California.
Sales growth of more than 100% at Milgard's Temecula location caused them to quickly
outgrow the existing facility. Therefore, in 2004, planning began on a project to
build an office space addition. By January 2005, construction was underway.

DeAnn Smith, Milgard's Scheduling Manager, enlisted the assistance of National Business
Furniture (NBF). Although the relationship between Milgard and NBF actually started
in 2003 when NBF approached Milgard regarding a tenant improvement project, this
building addition was their first large project together.
NBF created a plan for Milgard that divided the project into two phases.
Phase 1 was the interior design and move into the new building.
Phase 2 was the redesign of the existing office space. In total, they created 72
workstations.
In assessing the overall experience, Smith stated that it was really great working

NBF CASE STUDY — FORESTERS:
|

Foresters, a Canadian based insurance company, needed a furniture supplier to help
them renovate their 65+ US offices.
Foresters needed coast-to-coast installation, logistics coordination and asset management.
They often change addresses and add sales reps to their staff, resulting in frequent
reconfigurations of their furniture.

|
National Business Furniture worked closely with Foresters to develop a standards
plan that was used for all offices. This plan helped reinforce Forester's brand
image, offered a fresh and updated look and allowed for easy expansion as staff
was added.
When offices changed locations, NBF handled all of the furniture disassembly, move
logistics and reassembly. With NBF's network of nationwide installers, moves were
completed with a minimum of disruption and down time.
To date, NBF has completed over 60 full office remodels and over 150 reconfigurations/additions
for Forester's offices from Spokane, WA to Fort Lauderdale, FL.
